Moby Wrap

We finally figured out the Moby Wrap! It comes with a 20 page instruction booklet, but it took a YouTube video to make it clear. My mom and I saw someone wearing one at the Monterey County Fair and she suggested we have someone show us how to use it. It is going to be great!

Izabella's Travels

We have been on the road for the last week and a half enjoying some of the beautiful spots California (and Nevada) has to offer. Our 2GB memory card was quickly filled with photos of our beautiful daughter! Here are a few highlights.

Our travels started by going to Carmel where Aunt Brianna, Grandma, Mommy & Izzy took a trip to the fair. Then we went to Tahoe! Izzy is quite the beach babe. She loved laying on her new beach blanket on the warm sand.

Meeks Bay was our favorite spot to enjoy the lake. Look at the beautiful water!!
Izzy wasn't as impressed with the water and liked staying on the beach much better...
Izzy had lots of family around on her vacation! Aunt Cait, Uncle Tim, and Nan came up to visit too.

Next stop - Hyatt Regency in Incline Village. The beach was a little too windy to enjoy, but poolside was perfect. Izzy even liked the warm water here! After her dip in the pool, she took a nap on Grandma.
At 5 1/2 weeks, Izzy now smiles quite a bit. Here she is this morning smiling at Daddy. We will work on catching her big ear to ear smile on camera.

Izzy's First Evacuation

This is what we woke up to this morning.... Mommy thought it was construction noise and rolled over to go back to sleep. Daddy was changing Izzy and saw the flames out the window. Two teenage kids were arrested (and hopefully will be rightfully punished). Thankfully our existing neighbors have only minimal damage - broken windows, doors, and smoke damage. Two six packs of townhomes will need to be torn down, and there is some damage to two more sets that are being constructed on the other side of the street. The sidewalks and alleys are ruined with all the ash. It is a sad day for Capital Village.

Trader Joes

We took Izzy to Trader Joes today. There were two ladies who followed Izzy and I around the store. One of the ladies asked if I had a picture of the baby that she could send to her sister in Japan because she was so cute. Mike and I thought that was very strange!! However, we do think she is is pretty cute ourselves.
