It was pointed out today that my belly is in fact much bigger than my previous pictures show. Here is a more accurate photo of what I look like at week 19 (Izzy grows nightly!).

Izzy's Photos
Her girl parts and cute little feet.
If you look closely, you can see her face with her hand on her head.
Mommy & Izabella (Week 18.5)
Here's the most recent photo of mommy and our little baby girl.
Here's what BabyCenter.com says about week 18:
Head to bottom, your baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and she weighs almost 7 ounces. She's busy flexing her arms and legs — movements that you'll likely start noticing more and more. Her blood vessels are visible through her thin skin and her ears are now in position and stand out from her head. Myelin (a protective covering) is beginning to form around her nerves, a process that will continue for a year after she's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and Fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If your baby is a boy, his genitals are noticeable, though he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.Upgraded from a turnip to a bell pepper! And, as we already know, little Izzy wasn't shy about showing us her stuff.
It's a Girl!!!!!
We are going to have a daughter!!! I was convinced that she was going to have a boy, and was truly shocked when the technician said it was a girl.
Like her Daddy, she is very active and does not take a good picture... We didn't get a good profile shot, but were able to get 3 clear pictures verifying that she is indeed a girl. We saw her tiny little feet, long legs, cute hands/fingers, and she even saw her lips move. Mike bought me a new scanner/printer for Valentines Day that is supposed to arrive later today. Check back for pictures.
Her name = Izabella Smith, AKA "Izzy" (maybe spelled Isabella, but dad is not convinced).
Mike has already cleared out the nursery last night, and is ready to get to work on Izzy's modern room. Dwell Studio is my favorite place for baby bedding, and they have just started selling an inexpensive version at Target! The Olivia bedding is what we are looking at. Today we are going to buy a pack of blankets to see about paint color, but are thinking the current color might be the best bet.

Mommy at Week 17
There's Mommy! And here is some info on Week 17:
Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and he's around 5 inches long. He can move his joints, and his skeleton — until now rubbery cartilage — is starting to harden to bone. His sense of hearing is also developing. The umbilical cord, his lifeline to the placenta, is growing stronger and thicker [accoriding to the baby center]May favorite part of this week is the comparison to a turnip...really, that's the best vegetable they could come up with? Nothing else weighs nearly five ounces?
Well, more importantly, Mom's doing well and our little turnip will have a name somewhere around the 15th...I can't wait.

Heartbeat and Kicks
Mike and I went in to check on the baby today. Instead of hearing a nice loud continuous heartbeat, we heard thuds. According to the Doctor, our baby is quite active and was kicking quite a bit. I'm thinking it must be a little Mike...
He/she is supposedly as big as an avocado and growing. Week 17 should bring the baby to 5 inches long.
Big ultrasound day = February 15!!!
